How do I increase the pressure on my combi boiler?

Most combi’s have a filling link underneath the boiler. There are usually one or two isolating valves (taps) that need to be opened to increase the pressure in the boiler to between 1 and 1.5 bar on the pressure gauge. When this pressure is reached the valves must be closed again.
