How Important is an Annual Service?
Most people will appreciate the safety argument for a regular service of gas appliances, recognising the dangers of a build-up of toxic carbon monoxide (CO) as the flue becomes blocked over time. It also results in a less efficient boiler as it struggles to maintain its output, costing you more and adding to environmental woes.
So the importance of an annual service cannot be stressed enough. If your boiler is more than ten years old, a new energy-efficient condensing model with heating controls might be the answer, to both reduce your bills and keep pollution to the minimum.
