Installing central heating systems
At Home Heating we custom design and install new central heating systems with a five year guarantee so you can be reassured peace of mind. Our heating systems are designed to achieve maximum fuel efficiency which is great for the environment and your pocket with low fuel bills.
We are GAS Safe (previously CORGI*) to install and maintain Gas Boilers and appliances and OFTEC registered to install and maintain Oil fired appliances.
Replacement gas boilers
We are specialists in the installation of gas fired boilers. Gas boilers are available as conventional (standard) or combination boilers and these are both now available as condensing boilers - the most efficient boilers available .
Oil fired boilers or electric boilers
We install oil fired boilers (also available as conventional (standard) or combination boilers and these are both now available as condensing boilers.)
No gas supply - electric boilers can be used to supply standard wet central heating and hot water.
Heating maintenance and servicing
We can provide annual service contracts, insurance maintenance and repair contracts, Landlords Annual Gas Safety Certificate checks, power flushing for clogged up central heating systems, replacing and upgrading of old heating system components.
Plumbing problems:
24 hour emergency callout, repairs to burst pipes, dripping taps, blocked pipes, boiler or heating not working, showers broken, no hot water, radiators leaking, toilet broken - we provide a fast, reliable, straight talking and friendly service.
General plumbing service includes:
- Hot water cylinder replacement and immersion heater installation.
- Central heating pump replacement, radiator replacement, adding radiators and thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), servicing boilers, updating heating controls and thermostats, power flushing for unclogging central heating systems, replacing and upgrading of old heating system components.
- Replacing taps, showers and toilets....
Servicing and Landlords Annual Gas Safety Checks
We can provide annual service contracts, insurance maintenance and repair contracts, Landlords Annual Gas Safety Certificate checks.
Underfloor Heating (UFH)
Underfloor heating (UFH) is growing in popularity both in new construction and in the conservatory market.
Ideally suited for kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories and small extensions with solid floor construction and floor area of up to 15m2
It is invisible, economical, quiet, there is no maintenance and the heat distribution is even.
Water Softeners and Water Filters
We can install a water softeners to reduce limescale in hard water areas and high performance water filtration systems for treating drinking and cooking water.
Moling
Do you need a new mains supply installed but do not want to dig through your driveway - Moling underneath.
Swimming Pool Boilers
There are a wide variety of ways to heat your swimming pool. From solar power and heat pumps which use the power of the sun and temperature of the air to warm the water, or gas and oil fired boilers which heat your swimming pool with a higher degree of control.
We can install the right water heating system for your swimming pool and provide annual servicing.
Domestic Solar Panel Hot Water Heating Systems
We can install a modern, efficient domestic hot water heating system using the latest solar panel technology.
Rising energy costs, nature and environment concerns
With the increasing cost of gas and electricity, the decline in traditional energy resources and the constant reminder of global warming, domestic energy conservation is now a high priority.
Solar heating for domestic hot water is the now regarded as a leading green technology and is a viable solution in all parts of the UK. The technology is well developed with a large choice of equipment to suit many situations. Solar water heating systems work alongside your conventional water heating system.
How does solar energy provide domestic hot water heating?
In simple terms the sun’s energy is used to heat water in a storage cylinder. The energy collectors are placed on an approximately south facing roof or wall and a fluid is pumped around a sealed system to an indirect heating coil in a hot water cylinder to heat the domestic hot water (very similar to the way a boiler does the same job).
The solar heating works along side your boiler reducing the need for the boiler to heat your domestic hot water. The existing cylinder is exchanged for a cylinder with two heat exchanger coils; one from the boiler in the property and a second from the solar panels.

Grants for Installation of Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems
Under the Low Carbon Building Scheme the UK Government provides a grant to home-owners (amongst others) who want to install microgeneration technologies, including solar hot water systems. Homeowners can apply for a grant of up to £400 to assist in the cost of installing a solar panel hot water system.
Bathrooms and Showers
We can install all types of bathroom suites including specialised designs for the elderly or disabled.
We can also deal with building, plastering, decorating, tiling and carpentry needs to alter, reshape and finish your bathroom to a high standard.
We can also fit extractors with humidistats and time over runs.
Power Shower Specialist
We install showers, shower enclosures and shower screens.
The type of shower that will work best for you depends on your existing water supply system.
You will have either:
- a low pressure or gravity fed system (most common)
- a high pressure or unvented system often found in more recent systems
A low pressure system uses a combination boiler which heats water instantly or a standard boiler and tank for cold water and a copper cylinder to store hot water.
A high pressure system is where the water is taken from the mains and hot water is stored in a high pressure water cylinder.
